Space weather forecast service has been operated in 24/7. NICT is a
member of ACFJ consortium of ICAO space weather center. NICT operates
five ionosondes, four in Japan and one in Antarctica. NICT also operates
a solar radio telescope and a magnetometer in Japan. NICT has own numerical simulation models of the Sun and solar wind, magnetosphere, and ionosphere. NICT also has AI-based solar flare and radiation belt electron forecast models. |
